iPay started inside an accounting practice.
Working as auditors and tax advisers to some of Nigeria’s largest organisations, our founding team watched finance departments wrestle with fragmented tools, manual remittances and mounting compliance risk. Much of the software they used was built by people who understood code far better than Nigerian tax law.
So we built iPay from the opposite direction.
Compliance first
Every calculation in iPay starts from the Nigerian rule it has to satisfy. Speed and simplicity are built on top of that, never the other way round.
Compliance first, engineered to the standard a regulator and an auditor would both accept.
One record for every naira
Salaries, invoices, vendor bills and bulk payouts share one approval trail and one history. An auditor can follow any payment from start to finish without leaving the product.
Honest about what we automate
We calculate, schedule and record. Where you still make a payment yourself, such as statutory remittances, we say so plainly and keep the proof for you.
Built by people who apply the rules
iPay is built and run by Doftwerks, the technology practice of Stransact Chartered Accountants, an RSM International correspondent firm. Doftwerks is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified, accredited by the NDPC as a Data Protection Compliance Organisation, and a licensed NRS System Integrator and Access Point Provider.
Today iPay processes over ₦1.25 billion in payroll every month, for businesses across oil and gas, energy, professional services and international trade, and runs invoicing, vendor payments and bulk payouts on the same record.
