Compliance first
Every calculation starts from the Nigerian rule it has to satisfy. Speed and simplicity are built on top of that, never the other way round.
iPay is the finance operations platform Nigerian businesses use to run payroll, issue NRS-compliant invoices, pay vendors and send bulk payouts, with every deduction, approval and record in place.
“Compliance first, engineered to the standard a regulator and an auditor would both accept.”
iPay started inside an accounting practice. Working as auditors and tax advisers to some of Nigeria’s largest organisations, our founding team watched finance departments wrestle with fragmented tools, manual remittances and mounting compliance risk, using software built by people who understood code far better than Nigerian tax law.
So we built iPay from the opposite direction: compliance first, engineered to the standard a regulator and an auditor would both accept, then made fast and simple enough for any finance team to run.
Today iPay processes over ₦1.25 billion in payroll every month for businesses across oil and gas, energy, professional services and international trade, and it now runs invoicing, vendor payments and bulk payouts on the same record.
Four principles behind every screen, calculation and record in the product.
Every calculation starts from the Nigerian rule it has to satisfy. Speed and simplicity are built on top of that, never the other way round.
Salaries, invoices, vendor bills and payouts share one approval trail and one history, so an auditor can follow any payment from start to finish.
We calculate, schedule and record. Where you still make a payment yourself, such as statutory remittances, we say so plainly and keep the proof for you.
Finance and HR teams are our users, not an afterthought. If a task takes them longer in iPay than in a spreadsheet, we treat it as a bug.
iPay is built and run by Doftwerks, the technology practice of Stransact Chartered Accountants. The rules in the product come from people who apply them for a living.
Held by Doftwerks, the company that builds and operates iPay, and maintained continuously.
Dual-licensed for e-invoicing with the Nigerian Revenue Service, so invoices are submitted to NRS directly from iPay.
Information security independently audited and certified to the international standard.
Accredited by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission as a Data Protection Compliance Organisation.
